What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at Montesano Dental?
We are looking to add top-tier talent to Montesano Dental. If you are an exceptional dental assistant or one who is ready to elevate your career and skills, we would love to hear from you! Professionalism, people skills, and a strong work ethic are very important characteristics to have when we are considering a potential team member.
Why work at Montesano Dental?
You will not find yourself assisting on a full day of Class 2s, guaranteed.
Our day-to-day and week-to-week schedules have never looked the same. We will keep you busy helping patients advance their oral health through services we complete such as single and full-arch implant treatments, full-mouth rehabilitations, oral sleep apnea appliances, endodontics, and general dentistry. We refer very little out and regularly complete same-day dentistry that keeps the day exciting and is a great service to patients.
We have an amazing patient base.
They like us and we like them! Our small team is friendly and considerate when it comes to our patients and all aspects of their care. Patient-doctor time is very important at our office and allows us to present transparent treatment options and costs. We receive many word-of-mouth referral patients, oftentimes in search of the high level of dentistry we offer.
What’s a typical day like?
Assistants clock in 7:15–7:30 a.m. to open up shop and set up for patients that day. The first patients arrive at 8 a.m., and the last patient will typically be at 2 p.m., allowing us to leave the office by 3–3:30 p.m. on a typical day. A 30-minute lunch break is taken in the middle of the day in our dedicated, spacious staff lounge. Our assistants will tend to patients through their entire visit, from reception to treatment to checking out at the front. We don’t have a dedicated front-desk position; rather, everyone shares the roles at the front, including the dentist when everyone is busy. This tends to be a bit daunting at first, but ends up helping make the job more interesting and less mundane. Our front-desk department is very simple, as we do not take insurance, which alleviates mountains of administrative tasks in our office.
We have high-tech equipment!
Scanner: We have a Shining 3D ELF scanner, which has the most cutting-edge speed and technology, offering an elevated experience to patients and our staff. No more lab work in our office.
Imaging: Dexis is what we use for our 2D imaging, and we have a Vatech CBCT for 3D imaging for implants and endodontics.
Software: Open Dental. Very intuitive if you have not used it before.
