We are hiring for a security receptionist. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifications, but have sufficient experience and talent.
Qualifications:
- 2027 Valid Perc Card
- 20hr Unarmed training record
- Minimum education requirement; High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum (2) years of professional security experience or (2) years of military experience or (2) years post high school academic training in related field
- Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)- assistance provided through employer
- Driver's License- required for some posts
- Reliable transportation

- Prepare, issue and maintain visitor badges
- Activate/deactivate employee badges
- Maintain sign-in logs
- Conduct briefcase searches
- Sort incoming mail by department
- Process outgoing and incoming visit requests for the Security Department
- Update and maintain facility security clearances
- Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, inspecting buildings, equipment and access points.
- Read and write in English language in order to complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities.
- Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedures.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Enforcing security policies and procedures at all events
Working conditions:
- All posts will consist of an outdoor cross training component that will involve inclement weather conditions
Physical requirement:
- With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly. Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain. Additional physical requirements may include, frequent lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds, require moderate to arduous exertion and running short distances.
