Self Storage Property Manager – Lubbock, TX

About the Role
We are seeking an organized, dependable Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of three self-storage facilities in Lubbock, Texas — Monterey Self Storage, Crossroads Self Storage, and DJ’s Self Storage.
As the Property Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring each location runs smoothly, customers receive top-notch service, and the properties remain clean, secure, and well-maintained. This position combines customer service, light maintenance, and administrative work with the independence of managing multiple sites.
You’ll also handle U-Haul rentals, assisting customers with reservations, check-ins, and returns to ensure a seamless moving experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to tenants and U-Haul customers in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Manage daily operations across three storage facilities, maintaining clean, safe, and efficient properties.
- Rent storage units and U-Haul vehicles, ensuring all customer needs are met professionally and promptly.
- Accurately process payments, deposits, and petty cash; maintain proper accounting and reporting records.
- Handle rent collections and communicate with delinquent tenants regarding outstanding balances.
- Sell retail products such as locks, boxes, and packing supplies.
- Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, and U-Haul pick-ups/returns.
- Conduct daily inspections of facilities and report or perform light maintenance as needed.
- Drive between properties to complete tasks, meet customers, or perform company errands (truck-driving experience a plus).
- Maintain accurate records in SiteLink and U-Haul systems.
- Follow company safety and emergency procedures.
- Participate in periodic training, meetings, and professional development sessions.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in customer service, sales, or property management (self-storage experience preferred).
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Experience with SiteLink or other property management software preferred.
- U-Haul rental experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Comfortable performing light maintenance and handling hands-on property tasks.
- Experience driving a truck is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk the property and perform inspections in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds and perform occasional bending, reaching, or repetitive movements.
- Able to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to travel locally between storage facilities and complete company errands.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
