What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Monterey Skin Cancer, Inc?
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for assisting the Provider with patient care and clerical duties in our clinic. This position requires history taking, assisting the doctor with surgeries/procedures. This position also is responsible for providing information to patients, and answering general questions. The goal is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Basic Duties
- Assist the physician with patient visit and care
- Scribe electronic health records
- Assist provider in clinical procedures
- Assist during medical examinations, surgeries
- Prepares instrument packets and trays, sterilizes instruments and other equipment used in clinical areas
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms
- Act as liaison with patient, assisting them in navigating them through care
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree, pre-PA, RN applicants
- Medical Assistant certification not required; will teach patient care duties
- Must meet all legal requirements, including minimum age of 18 years
- Basic computer skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good character reference, and pass a background check process

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
