What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Monterey Mills?
Maintenance Technician – We’ll Train You!
Monday–Thursday | 5:00 AM–3:00 PM | No Weekends
Are you the person who can’t leave a machine alone until you figure out why it stopped working?
Maybe you’ve worked on cars, trucks, farm equipment, lawn equipment, or other machinery. Maybe you’ve never had the official title of “Maintenance Technician,” but you know your way around tools, enjoy troubleshooting, and like figuring out how things work.
If that sounds like you, we want to talk to you.
We are looking for a dependable, mechanically minded person to join our maintenance team. You do not need years of maintenance experience. We will train the right person on our equipment and processes.
What You'll Do
You’ll help keep our manufacturing equipment running safely and efficiently by:
- Troubleshooting mechanical and equipment problems
- Performing preventative maintenance and routine repairs
- Using hand and power tools to diagnose and repair equipment
- Learning our manufacturing equipment and maintenance processes
- Assisting with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical repairs
- Responding to equipment issues and helping get production back up and running
- Keeping equipment and work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Working with experienced maintenance team members while you build your skills
What We're Looking For
Experience is helpful, but mechanical aptitude and dependability matter more.
You may be a great fit if you have experience:
- Working on cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, farm equipment, lawn equipment, or other machinery
- Troubleshooting mechanical problems
- Using hand and power tools
- Taking something apart, figuring out what is wrong, and putting it back together
- Learning how machines work and how to repair them
We're looking for someone who:
- Shows up for the team
- Takes pride in doing a good job
- Is willing to learn
- Can troubleshoot and think through problems
- Works safely and follows instructions
- Communicates when there is a problem
- Wants to build a career and expand their technical skills
We'll Teach You Our Equipment
You don't have to walk through the door knowing everything.
We CAN teach you our equipment.
What we can't easily teach is curiosity, a willingness to learn, a good work ethic, and the ability to show up consistently. If you have the mechanical foundation, we'll help you develop the rest.
Your Schedule
Monday–Thursday: 5:00 AM–3:00 PM
Friday: Overtime as needed
No weekends!
You'll have a consistent four-day workweek, with the opportunity for additional Friday overtime when business needs require it.
