What We Do
Monterey teams with general practice, specialists, and allied health practitioners nationwide to provide local coverage for examinees. We deliver a wide range of medical examination-only services to public sectors and the individuals they serve. Our clients include the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), the Department of Labor, the Department of Defense, and more. Our provider network consists of over 700 providers in various medical specialties and degree types. They conduct diagnostic-only examination services on an as-needed basis. These services may take place in their private office, established clinics located across the country, or during travel opportunities for group screening events.

Duties Include
- Providing Interventional Radiology procedures including but not limited to:
- Angiography
- Cryoblation
- Balloon angioplasty/stent placement
- Line insertion
- Chemoembolization
- IVC filters
- Cholecystostomy
- Kychoplasty
- Gastronomy
- Thrombolysis
- Biopsy
- Dialysis access & related interventions
- TIPS placement
- Radiofrequency ablation/microwave ablation
- Biliary intervention
- Communicating test results to providers and patients.
- Providing consultation and discharge education.
- Prescribing medications.

Qualifications
- Education. Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree.
- Board Certification. All contractor's physician(s) shall be Board Certified per the American Board of Radiology (http://www.theabr.org/).
- Licensure and certification. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. BLS or ACLS, DEA and NPI required.
- Experience. Must be capable of demonstrating technical proficiency.
- English Language Proficiency: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
- Subject to background/security investigation.
- Must pass TB test.
- Complete an online onboarding process.
- Willingness to comply with Department of Veterans Affairs vaccination programs for seasonal influenza and COVID-19.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
