Job Summary
Under the direction of the Senior Director of Migrant Education, the Director is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, managing, and evaluating the provision of guidance, technical assistance, and monitoring to Migrant Education Programs, including but not limited to sub-grant and direct service districts and parent, school readiness, and out-of-school youth programs; working collaboratively with regional and district staff to facilitate delivery and evaluation of effective services in alignment with the Regional Application; ensuring the highest quality of internal operations, including program and service evaluation, State Service Delivery Plan implementation and ensuring regional compliance; and supervising, training, and evaluating the performance of assigned personnel.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Licenses and Certifications: California Administrative Services Credential Demonstrated proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish by passing the MCOE Spanish Language Competency Test California Driver’s License with evidence of insurability
Required Qualifications: Education and Experience: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in education, public administration or a related field Three (3) years of experience in public education administration Three (3) years of public school teaching experience

Demonstrated proficiency of the Spanish language requires testing. Testing is upon invitation only and occurs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This position is grant-funded. The grant is expected to end as of 6/30/2027.
