Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CNC Programmer / Project Planner to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing precise CNC programs, planning manufacturing projects, and ensuring seamless coordination across machining operations. Duties
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machines including CNC laser cutting tables, CNC tube laser, and CNC press brakes utilizing CAM software and CAD tools such as CYPNest, Profile-T, and SolidWorks.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings with a strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to ensure accurate manufacturing processes.
- Plan and coordinate machining projects from start to finish, including tooling setup, machine operation, and quality control measures.
- Program CNC machines with expertise in common CNC programming languages to produce complex components with high precision.
- Conduct precision measurements using bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), bore gauges, and other measurement instruments to verify part accuracy.
- Set up machining tools and fixtures efficiently while adhering to lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
- Collaborate with design engineers using CAD/CAM software to translate design specifications into manufacturable parts while ensuring mechanical blueprint interpretation is accurate.
- Maintain detailed documentation of programs, project plans, tooling specifications, and quality assurance records for traceability.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices in machining processes and measurement techniques.
Experience
- Proven experience in CNC programming, material allocating
- Strong background in CAD/CAM software such as Cypnest, SolidWorks, and associated CAM programming tools.
- Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, geometric analysis, and schematic interpretation.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience setting up CNC Lasers, press brake machines, and tube lasers.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately while applying geometric principles during programming and setup.
- Prior experience working with CAM software for programming complex parts with high precision requirements in metal machining environments is highly desirable.
