Medical Assistant Full-Time - Internal Medicine / Family Practice
Starting Rate: $22 per hour, negotiable
Highland Medical, a division of Montefiore Nyack Hospital, recently certified as a "Great Place to Work," has an opportunity for a full-time Medical Assistant to assist our Clarkstown Medical practice.
The Medical Assistant works within our clinical team to provide excellent patient care to our patients. The Medical Assistant is responsible for rooming the patients in preparation to see the Physician and performing Medical Assistant duties such as taking vitals and EKGs. Will also be responsible for updating patient information including Medications in the electronic medical records system.
Essential Job Qualifications:
Education: A High School diploma or equivalent required. Attended a Medical Assistant or PCT program preferred.
Experience: Work experience in a practice setting preferred as a Medical Assistant preferred
Certifications/Licenses: BLS certification through American Heart Associate (AHA) required. Current Medical Assistant certification preferred
Other: Experience using an EMR system; EPIC preferred. Phlebotomy experience a plus.
