Job Summary




Essential Functions

• Responds to emergencies in hospital including Trauma, Code Blue, Intubations and Cardio Respiratory arrests.
• Begins, time of the essence, obstetrical and OR emergencies I under the direction of the operating physician, until the availability of an attending anesthesiologist.
• Assist anesthesiologist in emergencies, difficult cases, extremes of ages and any situation as necessary.
• Provides clinical anesthesia.
• Maintain adequate inventory of equipment and supplies and initiate requisitions for such supplies from various departments.
• Supervise and examine all anesthesia machines and equipment for the entire department to assure state preparedness. Maintain anesthesia machines/equipment in working condition in OR/OB.
• Provide emergency coverage during illness of personal.

• BSN Required
• 10 years Required
• Registered Nurse New York Required
• OHS Annual Assessment Required
OHS Fit Test Required
