7.5 HOURSThe nurse manager is responsible for the daily operations, staffing, and quality of care in surgical services departments, including pre-operative, intra-operative , post-operative and GI areas.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the daily functions of the perioperative department which includes the operating room, pre / post op areas and the GI area
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with protocols
- Collaborate with surgeons and other professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth surgical workflows
- Align department goals with hospitals strategic objectives
- Manage staff performance and scheduling Manage the units financial budgets
Required Background:
- Master's degree from an accredited program required or must be registered in a master's program with projected graduation date in three years of position acceptance
- Valid NYS Nursing License
- Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in perioperative services along with progressive management experience
- BLS/ACLS/Infection Control Certifications
- C.N.O.R Certification
- Membership in A.O.R.N
Salary starting at 160K based on experience, education and other relevant factors.
