Senior Auditor / Trainer – Billing Compliance

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Auditor/Trainer in Billing Compliance to join our team and help ensure accurate documentation, coding, and billing across the organization while supporting regulatory compliance.

In this role, you will:

• Conduct medical record audits for documentation, coding, and billing accuracy.
• Support and respond to external audits from agencies such as Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Office of Inspector General, and New York Office of the Medicaid Inspector General.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards including Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), ICD-10, and Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS).
• Develop audit reports, identify compliance risk areas, and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver documentation, coding, and billing education to physicians, APPs, and billing staff.
• Provide documentation guidance and workflow support within Epic.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of hospital-based billing, coding, and documentation experience.
• Coding certification (CCS, CPC, RHIA, RHIT) required or ability to obtain within one year.
• Strong knowledge of facility and professional billing, regulatory compliance, and Epic.

Work Schedule: MON-FRI, 8:30 AM-5 PM (Hybrid)

Base Salary Range: $81,600.00 -$102,000.00
