  • Define measurable learning objectives aligned with clinical, operational, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
  • Design and maintain role‑based curricula for clinical, revenue cycle, administrative, and ancillary staff.
  • Apply adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies to develop effective learning experiences.
  • Develop instructor‑led, virtual, blended, and e‑learning courses.
  • Create realistic case scenarios, simulations, and hands‑on practice exercises using Epic training environments.
  • Maintain and update all training materials to reflect system and workflow changes.

Epic Application & Workflow Expertise

  • Achieve and maintain proficiency and/or certification in assigned Epic application(s).
  • Develop a detailed understanding of organizational workflows and system configuration.
  • Partner with Epic analysts and application teams to understand build decisions and downstream impacts.
  • Translate complex technical functionality into clear, learner‑centered training content.
  • Participate in Epic upgrade planning, go‑lives, optimizations, and stabilization efforts.

Training Environment & Content Development

  • Build, test, and maintain Epic training environments.
  • Create and manage all training materials, including job aids, manuals, quick references, simulations, and videos.
  • Develop interactive e‑learning modules using approved authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia).
  • Apply accessibility, usability, and visual design best practices.
  • Leverage emerging technologies, rapid development tools, and AI‑enabled solutions to improve efficiency and learner engagement.

Training Delivery & Go‑Live Support

  • Deliver instructor‑led and virtual Epic training as required.
  • Train, coach, and credential additional classroom or peer trainers as needed.
  • Provide go‑live remote and at‑the‑elbow support (when needed) during implementations and upgrades.
  • Deliver ongoing post‑live and optimization training to support sustained proficiency.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Change Support

  • Serve as a training liaison between Epic teams and operational, clinical, and administrative stakeholders.
  • Facilitate curriculum reviews and incorporate feedback from SMEs and leaders.
  • Align training strategies with change management and adoption goals.
  • Provide outstanding internal client service while supporting the organization’s mission to improve patient care through technology.
  • Manage and resolve service tickets related to training content, and system updates.

  • Develop and implement training evaluation tools to assess effectiveness and learner readiness.
  • Analyze learner feedback, performance metrics, and system usage data.
  • Continuously refine curricula and delivery strategies to improve outcomes and efficiency.
