Job Summary
Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Patient Safety Improvement to
lead and drive safety initiatives across our five hospitals. The successful candidate will oversee a team of direct
reports and be responsible for identifying areas for improvement, implementing and monitoring patient safety
systems, and ensuring the highest standards of care with the goal of zero harm. The Director of Patient Safety
Improvement and their team are the "effector" arm of Montefiore Medical Center's safety infrastructure, ensuring
improvements are rigorously and sustainably implemented.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree Required - Masters, MD, BSN, DNP preferred
- 4 years of work experience as a healthcare improvement professional, using tools and methods for clinical quality improvement, performance measurement, patient safety, and change management, and an established record of successful management of cross functional improvement teams Required
- Training in safety science Required
- Experience building and facilitating highly functional teams that cross multiple departments and functions Required.
- Experience working in a large complex medical institution Required
- Ability to analyze data, develop actionable insights and drive improvement efforts Required.
- Proven experience in patient safety, quality improvement, or a related field Required.
- Strong leadership and team management skills Required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Required.
- Commitment to promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement Required.
Salary : $152,000 - $190,000
