Job Summary

Operates a hospital vehicle in full compliance with all city, state and federal agencies. Maintains appropriate licensure as required by law.

Essential Functions

• Provides operation of a hospital vehicle in a professional manner. Assist in road call services and delivering special packages.
  
  • Maintains DOT Compliance
  • Zero Accidents and routes are on time.
  • Adheres to regulations, trainings and Drug Screenings
• Provide driving services to various passengers, executives, VIPs and etc.
  
  • Provides driving services timely and in a professional and manner.
• Performs related duties as required during inclement weather, safety and other emergencies.
  
  • Assistance is provided in situations on a timely and reliable basis.
• Based on operational need, may be required to drive various routes.
  
  • Ensure routes are driven in a safe manner and on time.
• Ability to operate all vehicles within the motor pool and may be required to operate other vehicles, dental van, shuttle, etc.
  
  • Ensure vehicle license (s) are in good standing.
• Provide daily safety and service checks on vehicle(s) Performs routine maintenance/auto repair.
  
  • Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Ensure vehicle(s) fluid levels and tire pressure are accurate
Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Operates various vehicles from the Montefiore Motor Vehicle Pool
• Knowledge of Tri-State Area
• OHS Annual Assessment
• OHS Fit Test
• NYS Driver's License with 2 years of perfect driving record Required
