Machine Operator/Material Handler
Monteferro America manufactures and distributes Elevator Guide Rails, Components and cut Solar beams from our North American Facilities. Monteferro offers in-house fabrication and supplies to streamline manufacturing for a wide range of industries. The Material Handler will be responsible for completing tasks within different areas of the production floor. Must be able to learn how to operate a forklift and accurately use a measuring tape.
1st shift 6:30am-3:00pm
OR
2nd shift 2:30pm-11:00pm
Requirements
- Delivery of materials to the production floor
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Basic understanding of parts drawings
- Basic machining expereince
- Ability to use the computers of the floor.
- Be able to follow work instructions and standard work procedures
- Prepares documentation as required.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area 5s.
- Understands department workflow, process and detailed oriented
- Excellent communication with co-workers verbally and writing skills
- Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries
- Appropriate Labeling of product and placing them accordingly
- Identify and locate the right products for processing
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment, (PPE)
- Keeping a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory
- Keeping Material Handling Equipment in the best condition and conducting daily maintenance Check-sheets
- Safe Operation of Forklift
- Ability to accurately use a measuring tape
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualification:
- Knowledge of ISO regulated industry
- Strong mathematical and organizational skills.
- Experience operating a forklift
- Ability to read parts drawings
- Basic machining experience
- Good punctuality and attendance.
- Mature attitude.
- Pride in work.
- Willingness to work overtime / Saturdays and Sundays if needed.
- Ability to multitask and remain flexible.
- Attention to detail – Quality and organization are of the utmost importance.
- Must work well in a team environment and maintain good communication skills.
- Must have own transportation
