What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Product Designer position at Montecito Medical?
About Montecito Medical
Founded in 2006, Montecito Medical is one of the largest privately held acquirers of medical real estate in the country, with more than $6.5 billion in medical office properties acquired across 40 states. Beyond real estate, we build a financial technology and analytics platform that gives physicians, their practices, and their patients access to wealth-building and money-saving services, and that helps healthcare providers optimize their operations. This role sits on the team designing those software products.
The Role
We’re hiring a Senior Product Designer to shape the experience of our healthcare SaaS platform. You’ll own the full design process, from discovery and research through polished, shipped product, and partner closely with product and engineering to turn complex healthcare and financial workflows into intuitive, well-crafted software. This is a high-ownership role for someone who pairs strong craft with sound product judgment. If you want your design work to directly shape how physicians and providers experience our products, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Lead design for core SaaS features from end to end: research, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI.
- Translate ambiguous problems and customer needs into clear, validated design solutions.
- Partner with PMs and engineers from concept through launch, balancing user needs with technical and business constraints.
- Contribute to and help evolve our design system, raising the bar for consistency and quality across the product.
- Run usability testing and use qualitative and quantitative insights to inform decisions.
What We’re Looking For
- 6–9 years of product design experience, ideally on B2B or SaaS products.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end work and measurable product impact.
- Mastery of modern design tools (e.g., Figma) and experience building or scaling design systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate and defend design decisions.
- Comfort with complexity, turning data-rich, multi-step workflows into clean experiences.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing healthcare products or for clinical, provider, or patient-facing workflows.
- Experience designing for fintech, technical, or data-heavy products.
- Familiarity with front-end concepts (HTML/CSS) to collaborate effectively with engineering.
Compensation & Logistics
- Target salary range $130,000 to $160,000, commensurate with experience.
- Hybrid schedule based in Nashville, TN, with 3 days per week onsite.
- Comprehensive benefits and a collaborative, design-forward culture.
Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
