Part-Time School Counselor
Private Elementary School – Montclair, NJ (Early Ages-8th Grade)
We are a small, mission-driven private elementary school in Montclair, NJ, seeking a compassionate and experienced Part-Time School Counselor to support the social-emotional needs of our students and to provide support for our faculty and staff as needed.
This is an in person part time position for 2-3 hours per day from Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
Provide short-term individual and group counseling to students in grades K–8
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ emotional and behavioral well-being
Support the school’s social-emotional learning program
Respond to student needs and provide crisis intervention when necessary
Offer guidance and referrals to families when appropriate
Work closely with the Head of School on all student and family issues.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in school counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field Prior experience working with elementary-age children in a school setting preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive school culture
