Responsibilities
- Prepare, bake, and decorate a variety of pastries, desserts, and confections with attention to detail and artistic flair
- Oversee food production processes in accordance with food safety standards and kitchen protocols
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing and laminating dough
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station, adhering to food handling regulations at all times
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and seasonal pastry offerings that excite our guests
Qualifications
NOTE: This job requires extensive experience in dough lamination, baking of croissants and other pastries. We do not provide training in this area, experience is required. Do not apply to this job if you will need to be trained on how to make croissants.
- Proven pastry experience with a strong background in baking, dough mixing, recipe formulation, and dough lamination
- Demonstrated culinary experience in a restaurant or food industry setting with a focus on desserts or pastries
- Excellent knife skills, food handling techniques, and knowledge of food safety standards
- Strong skills in food production, catering support, and kitchen operations within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service by understanding guest preferences and providing personalized recommendations
- Experience with packaging baked goods for retail or event purposes is a plus
- Knowledge of culinary trends in the pastry world and a passion for creative baking
