School Based Mental Health Professional - 10-Month Position
General Summary
Montcalm Care Network in partnership with the Montcalm Area ISD is seeking a master level clinician to provide mental health supports in the local Montcalm County school districts.
Positions are scheduled for 10 months, mid-August through mid-June. This position covers school districts within the Montcalm Area Intermediate School District and will primarily service Montabella, Vestaburg, and/or Carson City schools.
Clinicians work in collaboration with the assigned local district to establish universal mental health practices for students, assist in the implementation of social-emotional learning curriculums, provide group intervention for at risk students, and act as a liaison for community mental health services.

Student Loan Repayment: MCN is an approved National Health Service site (NHSC, a loan repayment program); in addition to Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF), and MDHHS Behavioral Health Loan Repayment Program (BHLRP).
Employment Qualifications:
Education:
- Master’s degree (preferred) in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology or related field. Will consider Bachelor of Social Work with limited or full license if currently enrolled in an MSW program, with completion within 24 months of hire.
Experience:
- One year of experience in a mental health agency or as a mental health provider in a school setting.
- Experience and training in one or more of the identified Specialty population children with SED, persons with DD, adults with SMI, the elderly, persons with co-occurring substance use disorders or complex medical conditions.
Other Requirement:
- Licensure or limited licensure as a Social Worker, Counselor, Limited License Psychologist by the State of Michigan. Must be a Qualified Mental Health Professional and Qualified Children’s Mental Health Professional or supervised by an individual with this credential.
- Possession of a valid State of Michigan driver’s license.
Job Type: Full-time (10-month school year), Hourly, Non-exempt
Pay Range:
Bachelor’s Level Salary Range: $24.95 – $35.57 per hour depending on licensure and experience.
Master’s Level Salary Range: $27.00 – $41.96 per hour depending on licensure and experience.
