Fine Dining Server
Position Summary
Montauk is seeking polished, hospitality-driven Fine Dining Servers to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about exceptional guest experiences, possesses strong food and wine knowledge, and understands the level of attentiveness required in an upscale dining environment. Our servers are ambassadors of the Montauk experience, delivering refined, personalized service while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, knowledgeable, and gracious service throughout the guest experience.
- Guide guests through menu selections, daily specials, wine offerings, and beverage pairings.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and restaurant offerings.
- Anticipate guest needs and ensure a seamless dining experience from arrival to departure.
- Maintain dining room presentation, table settings, and service standards at all times.
- Collaborate with management, culinary, and support teams to ensure flawless execution of service.
- Accurately enter orders and process guest requests using the restaurant POS system.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and service standards.
- Assist with opening, closing, and side work responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of fine dining or upscale restaurant experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, spirits, and hospitality service standards.
- Professional appearance, demeanor, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience with Toast POS is preferred.
