Veterinary Technician – Join Our Specialty Dental Team
Location: Montana Pet Dentistry & Oral Surgery
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Thursday, Day Shift

We are currently searching for empathic, critical thinking, and career-driven veterinary technicians. Candidates should have knowledge of veterinary medicine, experience working in veterinary practice, and enjoy client communication.
This technician will be working closely with our remote anesthesiologist team and in person anesthesia support staff, including a veterinarian whose role is solely to manage in-hospital patients, to gain more knowledge and experience. You will also play a crucial role in dental assistance.
Qualifications:
- Veterinary Anesthesia Experience: 2 years (Preferred)
- Veterinary Technician Experience: 1 year (Required)
- License/Certification: Licensed Veterinary Technician in Montana or eligible to obtain.
Technical skills should include but are not limited to:
- Dental Prophylaxis, Probing and Charting (Preferred)
- Dental digital radiographs (Preferred)
- Anesthesia experience: induction, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery (Preferred)
- Confident in setting up, running, and monitoring anesthesia
- Venipuncture and phlebotomy
- Administration of medications PO, SQ, IM, IV
- Understanding of medical math
- Provide high-quality nursing care to pre-op and post-op patients
- Well-developed animal handling and restraint skills
- Work directly with owners from check-in to check out
- Communication skills with both clients and other staff
- Prepares the treatment area for procedures, including preparation and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies
- Proper use of laboratory machines for testing, such as PCV, BG, PT/PTT, In-hospital CBC and Chemistries
Non-Technical skills and responsibilities:
- Utilizing standard office/business equipment.
- Experience with ezyVet veterinary software is a plus.
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures.
- Experience with veterinary software is preferred.
- Must thrive in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
- Possession of organizational skills.
- Critical thinking. Understanding logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Assist the veterinarians with patient appointments, surgeries, and any other tasks that are needed.
