Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to meet their needs
- Educate customers on product features, effects, and proper usage through engaging demos and explanations
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain well-organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure product visibility and appeal
- Conduct regular inventory checks, stock replenishment, and product rotation to optimize sales opportunities
- Upsell complementary products by understanding customer preferences and offering tailored recommendations
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and store policies regarding age verification, privacy, and safety protocols
Experience
- Previous retail sales or customer service experience in a grocery store or similar environment preferred
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math skills necessary for accurate transactions
- Experience conducting product demos or educating customers about new products enhances effectiveness in this role
