Occupational Therapist – Community-Based Mobile Practice

Billings, Montana | Pediatric Focus with Adult Growth Opportunities | 1099 Contractor

Do you enjoy seeing clients where life actually happens?

Our mobile occupational therapy practice delivers individualized care in homes, childcare settings, preschools, and throughout the community. We believe therapy is most effective when it supports meaningful participation in everyday routines rather than relying solely on clinic-based treatment.

As our practice continues to grow, we are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is compassionate, self-directed, and excited to build lasting relationships with clients and families. While our caseload is primarily pediatric, we are expanding services for adults seeking support with aging in place, fall prevention, home safety, and recovery following illness or hospitalization.

Whether you have experience with children, adults, or both, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatment in community settings.
  • Create individualized, functional treatment plans that reflect each client's daily life and goals.
  • Partner with families, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to maximize outcomes.
  • Educate caregivers and provide practical strategies that carry over beyond therapy sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation.
  • Manage your caseload while enjoying the independence of mobile practice.

Why Therapists Enjoy Working Here

  • Flexible scheduling that allows for work-life balance.
  • Freedom to practice with clinical autonomy while receiving mentorship when desired.
  • Established referral network with a consistent flow of new clients.
  • Administrative support for scheduling so you can focus on patient care.
  • Small, therapist-owned practice where your ideas and expertise matter.
  • Opportunity to contribute to the continued development of adult occupational therapy services.
  • Supportive onboarding based on your experience—not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Qualifications

  • Current Montana Occupational Therapist license (or ability to obtain one before starting).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in community environments.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Pediatric experience is beneficial but not required for the right candidate.

Compensation

  • Competitive per-visit compensation.
  • Additional reimbursement for evaluations and plan-of-care updates.
  • Independent Contractor (1099) position.
  • Flexible caseload with opportunities to increase visits as desired.

Join a Practice That Values Quality Over Quantity

We intentionally keep our focus on meaningful therapy, strong relationships, and helping clients succeed where they live, learn, and participate every day. If you're looking for a position that offers independence, flexibility, and the opportunity to make a lasting difference in your community, we'd love to connect with you.

Please submit your resume along with a brief note introducing yourself and sharing what interests you about community-based occupational therapy.
