Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen to their needs, and recommend bikes, accessories, or rental options tailored to their riding style and experience level
- Conduct detailed inspections of bikes for safety and performance, addressing issues such as suspension problems or mechanical failures with precision
- Assist customers with retail sales transactions, including processing payments accurately and managing retail math calculations
- Prepare bikes for rentals by assembling new units, adjusting components for fit, and ensuring all equipment is in excellent condition before customer use
- Lift heavy bikes or equipment safely during maintenance or setup tasks while adhering to safety protocols
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Customer service experience with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to diverse audiences
- Retail sales skills including retail math for processing transactions accurately
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during repairs or customer interactions
- Passion for cycling with a good understanding of cycling equipment and accessories
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
