What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineer I/II/Sr. position at Montana-Dakota Utilities Co?
Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day to day work routine for self and others. Currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team to support the Electric Distribution System for a mid-sized utility company.
• Design, Develop, Support, and Maintain, the Electric Distribution System. • Troubleshoot and find solutions for system issues
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Engineer I: ($73,460 - $91,830)
A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline.
Engineer II: ($84,460 - $105,570)
A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline; and
Two years related work experience.
Engineer Sr: ($117,780 - $147,230)
A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline; and
Seven years of progressively responsible experience and understanding in the energy industry utility electric and gas operations, maintenance, design and project management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Level I/II/Sr:
Prior engineering experience in electric utility.
An EI (Engineering Intern or EIT (Engineering in Training) Certificate
Level Sr:
Professional Engineering (P.E.) designation
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES
I: Applies basic engineering techniques for entry-level assignments with review and guidance from a higher level
II: Applies standard engineering methods and techniques to solve problems. Moderate guidance and direction provided. Work is normally reviewed from a high level.
Sr: Applies a broad range of engineering skills and techniques, leads projects, and provides direction to lower-level engineers.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to apply engineering principles to the development and design of the electric utility system.
Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to effectively communicate, correspond and interact with staff/management and field personnel.
Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
Required to maintain a valid driver’s license.
Moderate travel requirements (25%).
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
