What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Adjuster position at Montana Claims Service?
Our office is seeking an experienced independent property insurance adjuster to assist with a variety of property claims in the Kalispell and surrounding area. The claims range from daily adjustments, auto, large loss, fire, and liability.
Job duties include:
-Weekly travel to Kalispell and surrounding areas.
-Complete thorough claim investigations.
-Inspect property/auto damages and write repair estimates.
-Interview insured's, claimant's and witnesses.
-Evaluate claim facts and policy coverage.
-Prepare reports of findings.
Work experience:
-MUST have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
-Prior claims experience is a plus.
-Construction/Automotive background is a plus.
-Computer proficiency using Microsoft applications and Xactimate estimating software.
Independent Insurance license preferred but not required to start.
This position is starting as a part-time, 25-30 hours per week during training, paid hourly with potential turning into a full-time position with significant pay increase.
