Role Description:
The Funding Director is a 1099 Independent role, on-site role based in Beverly Hills, CA responsible for managing and overseeing the end-to-end funding process for small business clients. This role includes reviewing loan applications, analyzing financial statements, and assessing risk to determine appropriate funding options. The Funding Director will collaborate closely with sales leadership and underwriting teams to structure deals, prepare funding documents, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include communicating with clients to gather required documentation, explaining funding terms, resolving issues that may delay approval, and monitoring the status of applications to ensure timely disbursement. The Funding Director is also expected to maintain accurate records, track portfolio performance, and contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of funding processes and business Loans, with experience managing transactions from application to disbursement.
- Solid Finance and Investments understanding, including ability to interpret financial statements and evaluate risk and return.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to assess creditworthiness, analyze data, and make sound recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative information.
- Experience in small business lending, commercial finance, or related financial services roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and internal collaboration.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple funding files simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with financial software, CRM systems, and standard office tools (e.g., Excel, Word, email platforms).
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience - a plus.
