The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about investment and wealth management topics, and is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills. In this capacity, the Wealth Management Associate provides direct and comprehensive support to the team of Wealth Managers, executing tasks and assignments that aid in their delivery of exceptional client service and the efficient management of client portfolios. This role supports and is an extension of the interactions between our Wealth Managers and clients, so it involves direct interaction with clients, handling routine tasks, and assisting with investment operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Wealth Manager Support
- Attend client meetings, take detailed notes, and promptly record in the CRM.
- Prepare and distribute follow-up notes and correspondence to clients.
- Respond to client inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner, collaborating with Wealth Managers when appropriate.
- May occasionally meet with the client(s) to obtain additional information or to clarify/confirm information already provided.
- Gather data for client reviews and review recent client files for additional opportunities.
- Work effectively and professionally with the Financial Planning department, if required.
Investment Operations
- Execute minor portfolio and trade adjustments, including raising cash, as directed by the Wealth Manager.
- Assist with preparing portfolio reports and presentations.
- Maintain client records and ensure data accuracy.
- Contribute to the market and securities research efforts of the Firm.
- Stay informed about market trends and investment products.
Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative support to the Wealth Manager, including managing correspondence and scheduling appointments.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Has or is pursuing CFP, CFA, or other similar designations.
- 3-5 years of experience in a financial services or wealth management environment.
- Strong understanding of investment concepts, market infrastructure, and portfolio management principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects at once.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Commitment to client confidentiality and ethical conduct.
- Candidates must be able to successfully pass a background and credit check to be considered for employment.
