What are the responsibilities and job description for the Practical Nursing Adjunct Instructor position at Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School?
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Utilizes the framework provided by the syllabus for the assigned course as developed within the Curriculum Plan of the Practical Nursing Program, designs and presents content that fosters student attainment of the listed outcome.
•Designs and implements evaluation strategies at periodic intervals that identify levels of student progress within the course.
•Maintains accurate and current records of student progress in assigned areas of instruction.
•Communicates student progress to the Director of Practical Nursing regularly.
•Review with the Director of Practical Nursing the content, plan, and outcomes of the course about the program Outcomes after the course.
•Provides clinical supervision to no more than ten (10) practical nursing students in agencies that will provide clinical practice to complement classroom and/or laboratory learning.
•Designs and implements classroom and/or laboratory content as assigned, with the PN Director's approval
•Evaluates periodically student progress according to evaluation strategies for clinical and/or classroom and/ or laboratory experience.
•Maintains accurate and current records of student progress in assigned areas of clinical or classroom teaching.
• Counsel students regarding academic and/or clinical progress; provide remediation as needed.
•Completes faculty orientation program for PN Program and clinical agencies as assigned.
•Adheres to clinical agency policies and/or contractual requirements regarding student and faculty practice.
•Observes relevant faculty policies of the Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School District
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position may require long periods of standing and sitting. The individual may be exposed to ultraviolet lights in computer monitors and copying equipment. The individual may be exposed to various hazards in the building.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Work hours are determined by the hours allotted to each course.
