Position Summary:
As an Inspector within the Inspections Department, you are responsible for ensuring the safety, compliance, and operational integrity of transportation services. This role includes conducting comprehensive inspections and audits of vendors, programs, and vehicles to verify adherence to contractual standards, regulatory requirements, and established performance expectations. Inspectors are responsible for identifying deficiencies, documenting findings, and ensuring that transportation providers maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and contractual obligations to support safe and reliable transportation services.
Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:
- Perform regulatory inspections, investigations, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to contractual standards and applicable regulations.
- Identify non-compliance issues, including vehicle deficiencies, missing required safety equipment, and procedural gaps; document findings and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Conduct annual desk audits for both existing vendors and new vendors as part of the onboarding and ongoing compliance process.
- Perform new vendor onboarding inspections, including initial vehicle inspections, as well as re-inspections of vehicles previously identified with deficiencies.
- Ensure accurate, detailed, and timely entry of all inspection findings, audit results, and related documentation into the designated database systems.
- Address and escalate vehicle safety violations and potential contractual breaches in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain regular monitoring and prioritization of communications, including email correspondence, with timely and professional follow-up.
- Conduct both covert and overt inspection activities to assess real-time compliance with operational, safety, and contractual requirements.
When duties and responsibilities change, the employee may be asked to perform other duties as required as business needs dictate. Employees are required to identify any changes in their job duties since the descriptions were last reviewed. Additionally, MART may ask that employees conduct a review of their position as part of the performance-evaluation process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of related experience preferred; industry-specific experience is a plus.
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Word, and Excel) and database management systems.
- Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and active listening abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion (e.g., CORI, PHI, HIPAA).
- Familiarity with quality assurance tools, concepts, and methodologies is preferred.

Shift Schedule: TBD based on business needs between the hours of 5:00AM to 7:00PM with possible overtime
