About the opportunity

The business runs service, maintenance, and full-system replacement for homeowners across Central New Jersey, with a loyal customer base, a stable crew, and a well-equipped shop.
This role is for a licensed professional who wants real responsibility: serve as the company's licensed contractor of record, own technical standards and permitting, and help lead a team positioned to grow. Full-time is preferred. We will also consider a structured part-time or contract arrangement for the right license holder.
What you will do
- Serve as the NJ Master HVACR Contractor license holder of record for the business
- Own technical quality: code compliance, permits and inspections, equipment selection, and installation standards
- Provide hands-on technical leadership for service technicians and install crews (roughly 8 in the field)
- Support complex diagnostics, system design, and load calculations on residential replacements
- Partner with the General Manager on scheduling, training, and upskilling installers
- Maintain relationships with municipal inspectors and utility rebate/financing programs
What you need
- Active New Jersey Master HVACR Contractor license, in good standing with the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs (required)

- 7 years of residential HVAC experience: furnaces, A/C, heat pumps, boilers, and ductless mini-splits
- Prior experience as a license holder, service manager, lead technician, or owner-operator preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
What we offer
- $90,000 to $130,000 base salary depending on experience and scope, plus performance bonus
- Health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan
- Company vehicle, phone, and tools
- A stable, well-run business with a long-term ownership group committed to growth
- A real seat at the table on how the business operates
