About Monster Phone Repair
Locally owned phone, tablet, and computer repair shop in Chambersburg, in business since 2011. We do three things every day: repair,
buy, and sell phones and devices. We're a small team that takes care of our customers and each other — no corporate culture, no drama.
We're adding to the team and looking for one reliable person to run our front counter and grow into a full repair technician over time.
What You'll Do
- Greet customers and run the front of the shop — you're the face of the business while a manager or tech works in back
- Sell pre-owned phones, accessories, and add-ons — we move a lot of phones in store, and this is a real part of the role
- Buy devices from walk-in customers — check condition, run our buyback process, make offers, and take in trade-ins
- Repair intake — write up service tickets, manage check-ins and pickups, set customer expectations
- Take phone calls, answer questions, and help customers find what's right for them
- Open or close the shop on your shifts (keys, cash drawer)
- Learn our repair process and start fixing devices once you've mastered the front end
What We're Looking For
- Reliable and punctual — on time, every shift, no exceptions
- Comfortable in a sales conversation — confident asking for the sale without being pushy
- Good with customers — explains things plainly, listens well, builds rapport quickly
- Good with computers and phones (no repair experience needed — we will train you)
- Mature and trustworthy — you'll handle keys and cash
- Excited to learn the repair side and grow into a Tech role
Compensation and Growth Path
- $15–$17 / hour to start (part-time, ~28 hours/week)
- Clear promotion path:
- Months 1–3: Front of House — sales, buyback, repair intake
- Months 4–6: Tech Training at the bench
- Month 6 : Certified Tech — $17–$20/hr plus per-ticket bonuses, full-time
- Paid training on Apple Independent Repair Provider and Samsung Independent Service Provider processes
- This is a long-term role — we're building the team, not filling a temporary slot
Schedule
- Monday through Thursday, 10:00am – 5:00pm
- Approximately 28 hours per week to start, moving to full-time once you graduate to Tech
Start Date
ASAP — we need someone ramped up and confident at the counter by early July.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
