Position Summary
This position interfaces with Mass Channel Operations, MEC Business Units, and Key Bottler Stakeholders to communicate National Mass Programs and to develop, implement and execute regional strategies in support of driving sales and share for MEC in the Mass Channel.
- Initiate and secure meetings with Mass division, region, and market personnel to review the MEC’s business and discuss sales growth opportunities
- Develop selling presentations and strategies to gain execution of Mass Channel home office programing as well as other sales opportunities designed for incremental sales volume
- Proactively work with MEC Business and the distributor partners to plan and develop execution strategies for Mass Channel home office programs and incremental programing that drives MEC sales and share
- Communicate with the MEC’s Business Units and distribution partners on opportunities in their Mass Channel stores and the commitments secured in the meetings with Mass Management
- Conduct business reviews with Mass Channel, our distribution partners and MEC’s personnel to identify opportunities for sales growth
- Develop and implement selling strategies for all Mass Channel store types
- Train internal MEC’s employees on selling at Mass Channel store and market level utilizing best practices
- Work with MEC’s distribution partners on training and understanding of the energy category, MEC and the MEC brands within Mass Channel in addition to developing best practices to for working with and selling to Mass Channel Stores
- Work on special projects as identified by supervisor to grow MEC’s sales and share
- Candidates need strong leadership and analytical skills as well as insight to evaluate data and reports to identify opportunities for the development of selling presentations
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI skills are needed
- Must have the ability to take available data and develop actionable presentations
- Ability to present in front of large groups
- Ability to learn new concepts
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to overcome objections
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field Preferred
- A combination of a lesser degree and demonstration of a solid track record of driving beverage industry success may be considered
- Minimum 3 Years’ experience with a Beverage Vendor or Distributor serving retail outlets
- 2 Years managerial experience with demonstrable skills in category management, placement and promotional planning, communication to all levels of leadership and successful execution at retail.
