Grounds Keeper/Landscaper

Job Summary

The Groundskeeper / General Maintenance employee is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, safety, and functionality of warehouse facilities and surrounding grounds. This position performs landscaping duties, basic building repairs, preventative maintenance, and general upkeep to support daily warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain warehouse grounds, lawns, parking lots, walkways, and surrounding areas. 
• Mow lawns, trim edges, prune bushes, trees, and shrubs. 
• Plant and maintain flowers, plants, and landscaping features. 
• Operate landscaping equipment including mowers, weed eaters, blowers, trimmers,      and other tools safely. 
• Remove weeds, trash, debris, and fallen branches from property grounds. 
• Assist with irrigation system maintenance and watering schedules. 
• Sweep and clean sidewalks, entrances, and loading dock exterior areas. 
• Monitor grounds for safety hazards and report maintenance concerns. 
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, or weed control products in accordance with      safety guidelines and company policies. 
• Assist with seasonal duties such as snow removal, leaf removal, and storm cleanup      if applicable. 
• Maintain landscaping equipment and report repair needs. 
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective      equipment (PPE). 
• Support general facility maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Maintain professional appearance of all warehouse grounds. 
• Promote a safe and clean environment for employees and visitors. 
• Demonstrate teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail. 
• Follow attendance, safety, and company policies at all times.

 Qualifications

• Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor maintenance experience preferred. 
• Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and tools. 
• Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and plant care preferred. 
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently. 
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. 
• Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions.

Requirements

Physical & Sensory Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb for extended      periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50      lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. 
• Ability to safely use hand tools and powered landscaping equipment.

• Indoor and outdoor work environments.
• Exposure to weather conditions, construction materials, and equipment.
• Outdoor warehouse and industrial facility environment. 
• Exposure to dust, heat, cold, noise, and landscaping chemicals. 
• May require early morning, weekend, or seasonal overtime work.
