About the Role
We are seeking a Local Fleet Coach to join our logistics team in Dayton, Oregon. You will manage our local fleet drivers, build strong customer relationships, and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely delivery of our quality plants to customers throughout the region.
What You'll Do
You will...
- supervise and coach local fleet drivers for optimal performance and safety compliance
- build and maintain strong relationships with local customers and understand their delivery needs
- create efficient delivery routes to accomplish on-time shipping objectives
- monitor driver performance and provide ongoing guidance and support
- coordinate daily fleet operations including scheduling and route assignments
- communicate proactively with customers regarding delivery schedules and special arrangements
- collaborate with sales teams, loading coaches, and supervisors across departments
- analyze delivery performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities
- support administrative tasks related to local fleet operations
- assist with other department tasks as needed to achieve team goals
Who You Are
You...
- have 5 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or driver supervision
- have strong leadership and people management skills
- have excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities
- are proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- have good knowledge of U.S. geography and local delivery areas
- have associate's degree or equivalent professional experience
- have a valid driver's license with clean driving record
- can work flexible hours including weekends and overtime when needed
- have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- can handle high-stress situations and work at a fast pace
