Job Summary
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Special Education, the Special Education Compliance Coordinator ensures that all Special Education programs across MUSD operate in full compliance with IDEA, California Education Code, and MUSD Policies. The Compliance Coordinator also collaborates with site administrators, Program Specialists, Special Education Teachers, Speech-Language Pathologists, School Psychologists, related service providers, and external partners to ensure strong compliance.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required Qualifications Master’s degree or the equivalent educational experience in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or related field Administrative Services Credential Minimum of five years of experience in a special education setting Demonstrated knowledge of IDEA, California special education regulations, and SELPA procedures. Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience providing instructional coaching or leading professional development. Experience supporting inclusive practices and collaboration between general and special education staff.
