Job Summary
Under the supervision of a Child Development Center teacher provides assistance and instruction to individual or small groups of preschool aged children; monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance; assists in providing instruction using principles and appropriate learning strategies to support children’s developmental growth in social-emotional development, cognitive development, language development, physical development and performs related duties as assigned. Requirements / Qualifications
Graduation from High School or equivalent; and 2 years experience, either paid or volunteer, caring for young children in a pre-kindergarten setting – or – such alternative the personnel commission may find applicable AND six-semester units or equivalent quarter units, in Early Childhood Education or Child Development completed at an accredited college.
Applications must include a resume, copies of transcript indicating 6 units of Early Childhood Education or Child Development units complete and current First Aid CPR Certificate by either the American Heart Association or Red Cross. (Only certificates not acceptable).
- Copy of Transcript (**6 units of ECE or Child development classes)
- CPR/First Aid Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
