What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trailer Assembly position at Monroe Truck Equipment?
Position description:
Trailer Assemblers are responsible for installing prefabricated wire harnesses into our high-quality trailers based off the specifications of each trailer. A Trailer Assembler uses industrial tools and equipment as well as hand tools that are appropriate for the job.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures all equipment is in good repair, properly set up, and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use, including mandatory PPE.
- Read and work from sales orders and blueprints to determine product specifications.
- Install lights and decals onto trailers per standards and torque wheels to specifications.
- Effectively troubleshoot issues that arise on shop floor and confers with supervisors and production personnel to resolve issues, keeping projects moving.
- Ability to learn to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
Qualifications
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs without assistance and in a variety of motions.
- Ability to safely use hand, air, pneumatic, and power tools, and machinery.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with a partner or in a small group.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layout and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.
- Able to use linear and other measuring devices.
