JOB REQUIREMENTS: Monroe County is currently seeking a full-time Finance
Director. As the Finance Director for Monroe County, you\'ll be at the
forefront of overall financial oversight, visioning, leadership,
planning and coordination. This role collaborates with the County
Administrator in the development of the annual budget, assist
departments in compiling and annually updating the Capital Improvement
Plan (CIP), monitors and maintains annual and long-term debt program,
leads the annual audit, administers a County-wide financial system, and
developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance with all financial
policies and practices. Deliver financial reports, updates and forecasts
to County Administrator, department leaders and governmental bodies,
providing direct guidance and oversight to Finance Department staff and
reporting. The Monroe County Finance Director is a key member of our
leadership team providing financial forecasting, budget collaboration,
long-term and strategic financial planning. Advising the County
Administrator, Finance Committee and County Board as to fiscal impact of
resolutions, ordinances, state and federal legislation, contracts, and
staffing or program changes. Monitoring and enforcing internal controls,
policy and procedures over financial reporting, laws, statutes,
contracts, and grants. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: A
minimum of five years\' previous supervisory experience with seven
years\' progressively responsible accounting or finance experience, or
an equivalent combination of education and experience from which
comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired. \*\*\*\*\*
