JOB REQUIREMENTS: Do you have a passion for helping others? If so, the
Monroe County Dept. of Human Services Children and Family Services Unit
might have the job for you. We are looking for a full-time Child
Protective Services Professional - Initial Assessment. Our CPS Initial
Assessment Social Worker completes comprehensive initial assessments
with recommendation for any needed interventions. This position is
responsible for interviewing family members, collaterals, and referral
sources using the trauma informed care principles; observing home
conditions and completing safety assessments; and providing information
relating to programs and services in the community and making referrals
as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in engagement and
family assessment, as well as have the ability to build rapport and have
compassion for the families that are being served. \*\*\*\*\*
