LOCATION OF POSITION: Monroe One BOCES – 41 O'Connor Road, Fairport NY 14450; eStart Program - Carlton Webster Building
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Full Time - Probationary
STARTING DATE: July 1st, 2025
SALARY RANGE: $100,000 - $115,000 per school year
DEFINITION: Under the supervision of the Deputy District Superintendent, the Principal is responsible for the instructional leadership of the program by creating and sustaining unique educational programs through collaborative methods to assist students to achieve academically, while supporting social and emotional growth. The Principal is responsible for the direction, leadership, coordination, planning, implementation, identification, and evaluation of all aspects of the educational program. The Principal works cooperatively with the classroom teachers, para educators, special subject and support staff assigned to the program. The Principal must demonstrate the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, students, parents, and community based partnerships while possessing the qualities of insight, vision, leadership, and a commitment to the education of all students.
MAJOR POLICY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Principal is responsible for following those policies established by the BOCES Board of Education as well as the requirements of the State of New York and the federal government. The Principal is responsible for identifying areas for policy review, revision, or development.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. NYS Certification as a School Building Leader (SBL) or School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS) or School Administrator (new 2025 cert).
2. At least 3 years prior experience as a school administrator.
3. Experience as a building level administrator.
4. Experience working with students with disabilities.
5. Minimum of five years of distinguished teaching or school related experience.
6. Experience with leading a responsive, restorative and equitable culture.
7. Knowledge of Federal and New York State laws and regulations in the areas of General Education and Special Education.
8. Knowledge & experience regarding BOCES programs, services, and operations preferred.
9. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
