Assistant Coordinator of Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Learning

LOCATION OF POSITION: Fairport NY 14450; Office of Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Learning

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-Month Position, Full-Time

START DATE: September 2026

SALARY RANGE: $80,000-$95,000 per year

• Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide leadership in the development, implementation and oversight of all elements of a multi-tiered system of support framework.
2. Research and promote best practices in student centered instructional models, rigorous curriculum, and culturally responsive teaching.
3. Work collaboratively to develop integrated student systems of support.
4. Plan and deliver ongoing professional learning activities aligned to Monroe Ones Professional Development Plan.
5. In collaboration with the coordinator, provide leadership and supervision of instructional specialists in their various roles across programs and departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. NYS Certification as a School District Administrator (SDA) School District Leader (SDL) or School Administration & Supervision (SAS)
2. At least five years' experience as a teacher or related service provider.
3. Minimum of two years' experience in an administrative or instructional leadership role.
4. Strong knowledge of all elements of the NYS Department of Education Regents Agenda.
5. Experience in standards-based curriculum design, assessment development, and grading/reporting practices.
6. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and make appropriate decisions quickly.
8. Ability to foster strong collaborative relationships with and amongst team members.
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
10. Strong technological skills.
11. Valid New York State Driver's License
12. Physically able to perform all duties required of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
