Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager/Estimator to join our growing construction team. - Assist in preparing detailed construction estimates using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam, ensuring accuracy in pricing and cost control measures- Togal.ai, Excel, and Pdf readers are essential.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules, budgets, and procurement strategies that align with client requirements and company standards
- Support the review and negotiation of contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to secure favorable terms while maintaining compliance with project specifications
- Conduct site visits to gather data, assess progress, and verify quantities for accurate cost tracking and reporting
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals by compiling scope of work, pricing, and supporting documentation
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to identify potential overruns early and implement corrective actions
- Maintain organized records of project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and progress reports
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating or project coordination within the construction industry is preferred
- Familiarity with construction management software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, or similar tools is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of construction processes, site activities, and safety protocols gained through hands-on site experience or related roles
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards
- Knowledge of contract administration, project management principles, and cost control techniques is essential
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
