Booth Renter – Monroe House of Beauty (Downtown Monroe)

Job Summary:

Monroe House of Beauty is a boutique, independently owned salon located in the heart of downtown Monroe’s historic district. We’re a creative, welcoming space built for beauty professionals who want freedom, community, and room to grow—without the drama or corporate pressure.

We’re seeking licensed Booth Renters who are ready to run their own business inside a supportive, high-visibility salon. This is ideal for stylists and beauty professionals who value autonomy, professionalism, and a salon environment that feels like home—for you and your clients.

You bring the talent and ambition. We provide the space, support, and downtown foot traffic.

What You’ll Do:

  • Operate your own booth and business, providing services such as haircuts, color, styling, extensions, facial waxing or grooming (based on your license and specialty).
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through thoughtful consultations and consistent, high-quality work.
  • Manage your own schedule, services, and pricing using salon booking software.
  • Maintain a clean, professional workstation that meets all sanitation and state board standards.
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive experience for every client who walks through the door.
  • Promote your business through personal branding, social media, and downtown exposure.
  • Participate in a positive, respectful salon culture rooted in collaboration—not competition.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Active Michigan cosmetology or barber license (required).
  • Confidence in your craft—whether that’s cuts, color, blonding, extensions or specialty services.
  • A self-motivated, professional mindset with pride in your work and business.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with a diverse client base.
  • Commitment to cleanliness, professionalism, and a drama-free workspace.
  • Retail experience and up selling skills are a plus, but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
