In most cases, substitutes will follow the curriculum as provided by the principal or teacher, provide appropriate classroom management, and remain familiar with all emergency procedures. With a degree- $90.00 daily rate
Without a degree- $80.00 daily rate
Essential Responsibilities
- Follow established protocols for student attendance.
- Follow safety and security procedures at all times.
- Prepare educational materials and follow lesson plans as outlined by the certified teacher.
- Oversee school equipment and ensure appropriate student use.
- Keep record of any pertinent student information/observations to share with the certified teacher.
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to hold or obtain an Indiana Substitute Permit.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen per district policy.
