Big Pine Academy is a public charter school in Monroe County, known for its small student body, nurturing environment, and strong focus on student engagement and enrichment. The school serves approximately 120 students in grades PK–5.

Position Summary

The Cafeteria Staff member supports the daily operations of the school lunch program. This role ensures students receive meals in a clean, safe, and friendly environment. Responsibilities include food pick up, serving meals, maintaining sanitation standards, and assisting with cleanup.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking up and serving of student meals
• Maintain a clean and sanitary cafeteria and kitchen area
• Set up and break down lunch service stations
• Clean tables, counters, and food service equipment
• Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines
• Complete inventory, storage, and organization of supplies
• Provide a positive, welcoming environment for students during meal times
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in food service, cafeteria work, or kitchen support is helpful but not required
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
• Ability to work well with children and staff
• Reliability, punctuality, and strong teamwork skills
