Monroe County Public Library is seeking engaged, dynamic, innovative Children’s Librarians to join our amazing team in providing excellent patron-facing services and audience programming at library-based service points and within the greater Monroe County community. There are positions available in the Downtown and Ellettsville branch locations.
The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about library trends for children aged 0-6 and their caregivers and is passionate about providing early literacy experiences in a library setting. This role is responsible for proactively ensuring library services reach current and new audiences and for delivering innovative programs and services to attract and serve a diverse population.
Requirements
Requires an MLS from an ALA accredited college or university. One year of related library experience required, and one year of working with community engagement, programming, and professional leadership is preferred. Indiana Public Library (LPL) Certification – Librarian Level 3 is required (or ability to obtain).

Starting hourly wage begins at $21.37 | Compensation is commensurate with relevant experience/expertise.
