Role Description The Mechanical Engineering Technology Adjunct will teach undergraduate courses and labs in mechanical engineering technology in a full-time, on-site role located in Rochester, NY. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and delivering course content, developing syllabi and lesson plans, assessing student learning through assignments, projects, and exams, and providing timely, constructive feedback. The adjunct will maintain a safe, engaging lab environment, demonstrate proper use of tools and equipment, and integrate current industry practices and technologies into instruction. Additional duties include holding office hours, supporting student success and retention, collaborating with department colleagues on curriculum improvements, and adhering to college policies and accreditation standards.

Qualifications
- Strong Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Technology knowledge, with the ability to apply concepts in classroom and lab settings.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and related engineering software used in industry and education.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for problem-solving, troubleshooting, and interpreting technical data and engineering documentation.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear instructional delivery, professional written communication, and supportive interaction with diverse learners.
- Experience with Project Management principles for organizing course projects, coordinating lab activities, and meeting academic timelines.
- Relevant academic credentials, such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.
- Teaching or training experience in higher education, technical education, or industry strongly preferred.
