Function Of Position
To allow students to use the art studios throughout the semester when classes are not scheduled. To keep the art studios clean and safe for students. To help them and other students learn how to use the artists tools in the studios.
This is a Federal Work Study position. Eligible applicants MUST have received prior approval from the Financial Aid Office. If you are unsure of your eligibility, please contact Financial Aid before applying.
Examples Of Duties & Responsibilities
Monitor art and sculpture studios during times classes are not scheduled. Help maintain the studios as a clean and safe facility by cleaning up the sink areas desktops and counter tops. To help students to learn and use the tools in the studios. Keep supplies stocked and neatly maintained. To make sure the studios are being used properly. To learn how to use various artists tools and supplies as well as keeping art spaces neat and clean. To learn about and how to help other students find and experiment with art mediums that will best help them get their ideas out of their heads and onto physical media. Some of these include but are not limited to oil, acrylic, watercolor and gouache paints, oil pastels, colored pencils, markers, pens, charcoal, chalk, to wire, papier m ch, clay, plaster and even mixed media.

Required Qualifications:
Pay Rate: $15.50/hour
Hours per week: Up to 20 hours/week
